"I Hope she likes Earth too." Lancaster/Palmdale, California Photographer

The other day my seven year old and I sat holding the baby.  As the Julia slept, she smiled as newborns sometimes do.

Vanessa asked, "What do you think she's dreaming about?"    I said, "Heaven." to which Vanessa asked.    "Do you think she remembers heaven?"      "Yes," I said.    Vanessa replied, "I hope she likes Earth too."

I took this, below, after a frustrating Sunday morning with my 6 year old.  She is the absolute Light in our family.  With that gift she has, comes a carefree, loving(ness)

that is hard to contain when it's time to be still.  But still, I love her from deep within me. I enjoy her.

And if there were ANY question about whether this little one is loved enough...

After taking bunches of pictures of my little one in hats of all shapes and colors, she suggested I stop. :)

Happy Are We! - Antelope Valley Portrait Photographer

Although we've taken it easy over the holidays with the kids home and while we wait for the baby to arrive, I did this shoot right before Christmas.  Great kids with such a sweet chemistry; they talked of their older brother and wished he were in town too!

And how could this beautiful girl ever take herself too seriously with little brothers around? :)

Our Fifteen Minutes of No Rain- Antelope Valley, CA Child Photographer

I swear, the desert got 90% of its annual rainfall this weekend.  Most of the valley enjoyed staying indoors and feeling cozy, including us.   We did, however, take a big chance in keeping with our shoot since it wasn't too cold or too windy.  Somehow we only had to wait a bit and then got this 15 minute break from the rain.  We captured just what we needed before it started pouring again.

Big brother was so great. When we met each other there in the Joshua Trees, the first thing he said was, "This is really great to take pictures in the natural

habitat."  He cared so well to his little brothers and you could see the love and trust he had with his parents.

And just as we were heading-out, this happened. Happiness to a photographer. You can even see how the sky changed just in the time the kids joined in.

I love how in the shots of the couple, you can see them smiling at each other. Just last week I had seen my dear friend Stephanie McBride's post with

a sunset and I thought I'd never get a shot like that for a family because I don't shoot that late... then, whadayouknow. :)

Let's Dress-up and Visit the Neighbors for some Candy

He's more than just a dang cute face. He's the kid I pal around with all day. :)

Her Wonderwoman costume was too big, so rather than alter it as I suggested, she ran up-stairs to put her own outfit together.  A

sparkly shirt and scarf from my closet contributed to her "Movie Star" look.  Watching my nine year old apply lipstick and mascara

made her look old and so young at the same time.  I enjoyed watching her excited effort, the lipstick that didn't quite stay in the lines,

the concentration to put on mascara and the amount of eye-shadow... then letting her take over the posing was funny and adorable.

She thought that posing on my white mini-van would look glamorous.  I totally agreed, which is why I look so cool driving around town in it. :)

Luckily the next day she was willing to put on the Wonderwoman outfit so I could get a picture of her for my SuperHero wall of a 16x20 of each kid.
